Chinasaurs at the Maryland Science Center

The National Organization of Gay and Lesbian Scientists and Technical Professionals - Chesapeake Region invites you to join us in visiting the touring Chinasaurs exhibit at the Maryland Science Center (http://www.mdsci.org/). Chinasaurs is the largest-ever touring exhibit of Chinese fossils and dinosaur skeletons, and the exhibit also features ancient Chinese cultural artifacts. More information is available at http://www.mdsci.org/exhibits/chinasaurs.html.

Where: Maryland Science Center , 601 Light Street, Baltimore, MD (see website, above, for directions)
When: Sunday, August 16, 1:30 pm (but see below for detailed information)
Cost: $20.95, paid at the door (but see below and MSC website for detailed price information)
RSVP: NOGLSTP-CR-owner@yahoogroups.com, by Friday, August 14

Admission to Chinasaurs ($6) must be bought with admission to the science center itself ($14.95). (These are the undiscounted prices for adults.) NOGLSTP-CR is subsidizing $2 of the admission cost for paid members (We’ll have membership forms on hand for anyone who wants to join the day of the event.). Chinasaurs is a general admission exhibit (no timed entry). The science center is open from 10 am to 6 pm, and you may come and go as you please throughout the day. Since you will be paying for a full admission, we encourage you to enjoy as much of the science center as possible during the day. All are welcome to attend the event; the Maryland Science Center is very family-friendly with many exhibits targeted towards young children.

Prior to visiting the exhibit, we will go out for lunch at Regi’s American Bistro (1002 Light St., http://www.regisamericanbistro.com/index.html). We will meet in front of the science center at noon to walk over, or you can meet us at the restaurant at 12:15 pm. At 1:30 pm, we will meet outside the entrance to Chinasaurs and enter the exhibit. In your RSVP, please let us know if you will join us for lunch and where you plan to meet up with us. I will be wearing a name tag to help you find me. We hope to see you there!
